Stepping Stones

Summer is slowly creeping in in the midwest. Soon the stepping stones will be in their rightful places after being buried under the snow. Stepping stones can add color, fun and whimsy to any landscape. However, they shouldn't be limited to underfoot. Here are unique ways to use them:
Whether used in its natural state or tinted, use as a fruit bowl.  Place on the countertop,  kitchen island or as a centerpiece on the table.  Be sure to place quarter size felt (or smaller depending on the size of the stone) to protect surfaces.

Line the stone with Saran Wrap and serve appertizers.  To keep the food cold, place the stone in the freezer to chill.  While you are still at it, why not use as a tray.

Hot out of the oven bread or rolls?  Your own "pizza oven"...and watch everyone wonder why they never thought of it.

Tint the stone in a favorite color; metallic paints offer texture and unique shine.  At Divine Interiors, we offer some with a hanger at the back that allows hanging on the wall.  Another option is a display stand and place among books on a book shelf, fireplace or top of an armoire.

In the bathroom, place beautifully shaped soaps for decor.  Roll up some towels and place on the stone for a spa look.
On your dresser, use as a jewel "dish" or catch all.

Of course, as a birdfeeder or birdbath.
We offer the stones in various sizes and colors for your unique needs.
